MLHS Now Offers Same Day Appointments at the Onamia Clinic

Mille Lacs Health System (MLHS) is pleased to announce a new convenience for area residents: Same Day Clinic appointments are now available at the Onamia Clinic. This new offering is designed to provide timely care for a wide range of common illnesses and urgent health concerns that don’t rise to the level of an emergency but still can’t wait for a regular appointment. MLHS wants to help patients avoid choosing between waiting several days for an opening or making a costly, unnecessary trip to the emergency department.
Same Day appointments are ideal for patients experiencing symptoms such as sore throats, ear infections, rashes, urinary tract infections, pink eye, joint and muscle pain, gastrointestinal issues like diarrhea, vomiting, or nausea, and flu or COVID-19 symptoms.
Appointments must be scheduled 24 hours in advance. While this may sound like a contradiction to the name, the system is designed to allow for rapid scheduling within a short timeframe while still maintaining the clinic's capacity and staffing. Additionally, the schedule allows for up to two follow-up appointments daily, ensuring patients needing timely follow-up care aren’t left waiting.
Care is provided by Jaclyn Robles, PA-C, who specializes in urgent but non-emergent health concerns. In addition to addressing sudden illnesses, Jaclyn also provides urgent pre-operative assessments, medication refills, and diabetic checks as part of the Same Day Clinic service.
Same Day appointments are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Onamia Clinic. To schedule an appointment, call 320-532-3154.
