Mille Lacs Health System (MLHS) has partnered with the Center for Pain Management (CPM), based in Sartell, to continue and expand the pain care services available locally. Starting June 23, 2025, CPM specialists began seeing patients at the MLHS Onamia campus.
Chronic pain can affect every part of your life, your ability to work, move, be independent, and enjoy time with family. At MLHS, we are committed to helping you regain comfort, function, and quality of life, without needing to travel far.
Pain management services have long been a part of MLHS’s offerings. This new collaboration ensures those services continue—while also bringing additional options for patients living with chronic or acute pain. All appointments with CPM providers at MLHS will be billed through MLHS, just like any other clinic visit, and will remain compatible with patients’ current insurance plans.
The Center for Pain Management offers a wide range of treatments to address back and neck pain, joint pain (shoulders, hips, knees, and hands), herniated or degenerative discs, sciatica, nerve-related pain, arthritis, spinal fractures or osteoporosis-related pain, pain after surgery and more. Some of the procedures patients may benefit from include:
Targeted pain-relief injections to reduce inflammation and discomfort.
Nerve blocks that temporarily interrupt pain signals.
Minimally invasive procedures to help stabilize fractured spinal bones.
Spinal cord stimulation, which uses gentle electrical signals to reduce chronic pain.
Diagnostic tests to find the source of back or joint pain, often used for treatment plans or before surgery.
Advanced treatments for disc problems, arthritis, joint degeneration, and post-surgical pain
If you are living with chronic or acute pain that isn’t improving, don’t wait. Help is available locally through the MLHS and CPM partnership.
