We hope to make your visit to Mille Lacs Health System as comfortable as possible.
Please alert a staff member if there is anything we can assist you with.

Visitors Policy

We welcome visitors!

Before you visit a patient’s room, please check with staff to determine:

  • if patient is able to have visitors
  • how many visitors can be in the room at one time

If you have cold-like or COVID symptoms, or have tested positive for COVID-19, we ask that you not visit until you have recovered.

 

Typical visiting hours are from 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

 

Masking

Masks are optional unless:

  • You have COVID-19 symptoms.
  • You have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.
  • You are entering an area with an outbreak.
  • Requested by an employee, patient, or resident.

 


The use of tobacco products is prohibited anywhere on the Mille Lacs Health System campus or parking facilities. The policy applies to all patients, visitors, and staff and includes smoking, vaping, and all forms of smokeless tobacco.

Substance abuse is not allowed anywhere on the Mille Lacs Health System campus. This includes alcohol and mind-altering drugs including marijuana.


Weapons of any kind are prohibited on Mille Lacs Health System property, except when in the possession of a commissioned federal, state or local law enforcement/correctional officer.


The Gift Shop, run by MLHS Auxiliary, is located inside the Mille Lacs Health System Community Pharmacy in Onamia. Just inside the main entrance. 

Hours are the same as the pharmacy: 
Monday through Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Closed 12:30pm – 1:00pm daily for lunch.


Hospital patients are served room service by calling the kitchen extension at 2702.

The cafeteria is open to the public:
Breakfast 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Lunch 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Vending machines are located in the cafeteria and are available 24/7.

 


Unfortunately, Mille Lacs Health System cannot be responsible for your personal belongings. Please refrain from bringing high value items into the hospital.
